CFMoto has an intriguing lineup for 2024. Earlier this month I talked about CFMoto’s smaller offerings. Today I want to look at a bike that may, or may not arrive in North America for 2024. CFMoto is being tight-lipped about the importation of the 1250 TR-G, CFMoto’s flagship tourer, however, one unique thing about CFMoto is that its motorcycle availability differs between Canada and the US.
First, the bike produces 140 horsepower and 88.5 pound feet of torque, and delivers that by chain drive to the rear 190/55 17 inch rear wheel. Its seat height is 32.2 inches. The bike is equipped with ABS, traction control, three riding modes, a slipper clutch and bidirectional quickshifter. The motorcycle boasts a rear radar feature that enables blind spot detection, lane change assist and even a rear collision-warning indicator. The cockpit has a 12.3 inch touchscreen TFT instrument cluster that has smartphone connectivity (Apple CarPlay, online musis, turn-by-turn navigation, and phone connections.) The bike has cruise control, heated grips, electronic windshield, JBL Speakers, keyless ignition, and TPMS, as well as heated seating.
The TR-G also boasts Marzocchi shocks, both fully adjustable with Brembo calipers and two 320 mm rotors and Brembo 4 piston calipers up front with a 270 mm rotor and Brembo twin caliper at the rear.
If indeed it arrives in 2024, BMW and Honda may find that there will be plenty of interest in the competition’s offering. Particularly if the price comes in thousands of dollars less.
