Motorcycle Matters 2

Motorcycling, is for me more than simply a diversion. It is, from snow melt to snow’s arrival again, my sole means of transportation and travel across Canada. That is by choice.

Being retired, I have the opportunity and time to experience this amazing and beautiful country from coast to coast to coast. My ‘ride’, is as shown below, and it offers me comfortable and speedy conveyance as well as it stirs the soul.

Also, being 72, riding enables me to meet and come into contact with riders of all types from all walks of life. It has been a joy, as well as painful and humbling experience, but most of all it keeps one’s passion for adventure and the landscape of my life fresh and alive.

I hope you’ll join me periodically. This page will feature articles of my personal interest, mostly related to various motorcycle subjects. Unlike some of my previous blogs, this one will remain apolitical and be limited exclusively to motorcycling.

My interest in motorcycling extends to adventure motorcycles and off-road experiences, and it is likely in the future that I may either acquire another ‘ride’ designed to enable both, or buy a smaller adventure bike in order to travel the more far-flung locations of wilderness rides that many of us who also partake in photography or aerial photography find fascinating and interesting as well as rewarding.

Your experiences and articles, should you so wish, can be submitted and they printed on this site as well, as long as they stick to “the simple rules’.

The site is not restricted to simply sport touring motorcycles or adventure motorcycles, although most of the articles you’ll find here will relate to those two subjects within the motorcycling experience.

Welcome…and thanks for coming.
