Chaos and Collapse

For the last ten years there has been one continuous force at work throughout the western world. Inaction. The inability of nations to act in order to stop the continuous erosion and disintegration of democracy and democratic institutions has led us to the tipping point, and that tipping point is simply, societal collapse and global economic failure.

And it doesn’t just extend to society and governance. The environment, the natural habitat, ecosystems, the survival of species, plant and animal, — all ignored, all headed for extinction.

It’s not to say that there aren’t good people, there are. But the system rewards those who are unscrupulous, ruthless, dishonest, and those unwilling and incapable of caring. For every decent, honest member of the 1%, there are ten willing to rip him off and see him fail.

Greed is good. Remember?

But here, I will simply comment on politics and geopolitics or this won’t be commentary but a lengthy expounding on how the wealthiest capitalists on the planet, destroyed it.

The warnings have been obvious. The unwillingness and inability of the west to react in Crimea in 2014, not just allowed, but enabled Russia to act. The rise of religious zealotry, caused by an interventionist war that was simply an excuse, created a global religious response, which was then ignored and allowed to incubate. Whether on the domestic front and the rise of domestic extremism, or the continuous move to the right by virtually every western nation politically, this inaction has emboldened the fringe elements of western society to organize, radicalize and act, often politically to vie for power, and astoundingly, succeed.

But those behind this radicalization are the same ones designating the scapegoats. It’s all due to the immigrants, don’t you know, and ‘the others’, both religiously and politically. We need to protect ourselves, by being the greatest offensively capable military force on earth.

America has become a modern version of the Weimar Republic on steroids, and America’s actions now resemble those taken by western nations in the 1930’s. Ever expanding Militarism, – the rapid escalation for global military superiority, and today, the spending of nearly a trillion dollars a year, mostly stolen from money earmarked for health, education, social services and infrastructure development, — all of which has led to the impoverishment of American society, discontent and a very unhappy America.

And with that impoverishment, planned by the elites, the discontent and loss of income, inflation and resentment has risen to the point where all that was needed was a scapegoat. Someone to blame and be held responsible for all the ills Americans are experiencing, — yet enabled through their ignorance, greed, resentment, hate and incompetence.

Infrastructure falling apart, social programs removed or minimized, — soon, the security blanket for the masses, — social security, welfare programs, low-income housing, health services, – in fact every program necessary to maintain a reasonable protection for the less fortunate, — is being undermined, underfunded or simply dismantled.

The hollowing out of society such that the wealthy became the ridiculously wealthy, while the rest of society attempts to simply hold on to the few crumbs left over, has created profound inequality that has fostered both resentment and anger. Meanwhile, those most unworthy of electoral success, — the ones actually hollowing out society, those removing and hoarding the wealth, — also control the media, the politicians, and through them, the law and governance of societal institutions and society itself.

Today, the concerns of the middle class, have morphed them, the middle class, into the working poor. Societies social programs and the protections that enabled people to plan for retirement and sustain a modest standard of living, are failing.

Meanwhile corporations, and their lobbyists, provide incentives and disincentives as necessary in order to manipulate politicians, especially those that are only there to enrich themselves, — by funding candidates and providing the resources for political success. All the while beating the drum of fear and anxiety in order to ensure that government continues to escalate and facilitate funding for weapons and weapons development.

But it wasn’t enough to simply ‘bribe’ politicians, no. It was necessary for the 1% to actually take control of the wheel, and ensure that the economy and foreign policy was driven by them. So today, here we are, with billionaires like Musk and Trump, deciding who gets what, when and how much. Kleptocracy, alive and well is now affirmed.

The least the politicians could do is wear ‘Corporate Team Shirts’ so that we’d know where the money was going. No, you say? Follow the money.

The massive funds for militarization are spent, with very little oversight, – cycling these funds into the hands of those in the 1% who own the corporations that manufacture, sell, distribute and maintain the machinery of war. Meanwhile their media shills, run by billionaires, who, you guessed it, only represent the interests of the 1%, ensure that fear and anxiety remains high, in order to impel taxpayers to continue funding the avarice and greed of the 1%. Brainwashing is necessary. Some might actually see through the opaque screen of disinformation and misinformation.

To ensure that no one who is rational and with the ability to see through the facade does so, a new ‘speak’ must be created. Alternate facts. Lies are truth, disseminated through truth social, X, Fox and a host of other right-wing media outlets. Facts, are for losers. Billionaires, who control the courts will sue you into oblivion if you have the temerity or the courage to confront them.

And, as for the profits, which through tax laws are meant to favour and ensure that the 1% remain the 1%, — these massive funds, raised by design to suck on the teat of the public purse, are then plowed into pharmaceutical interests and health insurance providers that taxpayers must employ if they want to have any chance of survival. All the while, the 1% also own the manufacture of all food stuffs and the food chain itself so that the public procures, food high in sugar, salt, carbohydrates, fat and dangerous additives, — all low in nutritional value that eventually cycles the public into illness and the demand for more pharmaceutical answers. At the same time owning the corporations and necessary health insurance providers, which they both administer and manage to their financial advantage.

This giant capitalist Ponzi scheme by the 1%, for the benefit of the 1% is what has created America’s myopia and malaise. Now America’s New Weimar Kleptocracy under Herr Trump and Musk will ensure that America only shovels money into ‘their’ pockets. The space race, military rearmament, space weapons, border security, immigration controls, and very shortly, internment camps for the scapegoats, soon to be deported. Increased funding for new pharmaceuticals for new diseases, viruses and virulent bacterium, etc., all again increased through public funding, while at the same time, education, health services, social security and welfare funds are constrained.

The final pillar of resistance must also be controlled. Belief. Whatever you do, don’t give them results, — give them hope. Hope springs eternal, like taxes and death. Therefore Americans must be controlled, not through reason, but through ignorance. America cannot be a multi-religious country, it must only be an evangelical Christian country, whose hate for the ‘others’ fuels public anger and ensures that enough uneducated and angry young men exist to ensure they join the military and keep the wheels of intervention and international compliance turning.

And belief plays another key role. It essentially guarantees inaction. Prayers. Buckets of prayers, nothing more. Action, yes, that would serve a purpose, invoking others to care and to also act. But action, if uncontrolled by the 1%, can be dangerous. Keep as many of the 99% believing, or at least enough to win the popular and electoral vote, — that way there is the equivalence of a no-fault insurance policy. Anything good that happens, Gods work. Anything that doesn’t, —well God works in mysterious ways. And by gum, when you die, you’re going to heaven. Hallelujah! Belief is awesome and belief is a major money maker. Yes sir, you’re going to never land. Never seen, never proven and never capable of being disproven.

As for science? Denigrate it. We have to keep the ignorant, ignorant. All success depends on it!

Therefore hope, must be micromanaged. Fear, anxiety and guilt, there’s the ticket! Hell, it’s worked for 2000 years. Guilt and fear keeps them barefoot and believing, down on the farm. Keep the faithful, faithful.

Yup, Republicans and God love the uneducated.

But the saddest of all future results is that the zero-sum game eventually collapses. Ultimately the Ponzi scheme is going to disintegrate. But, when that happens, with any luck, well, we’ll just find another scapegoat.

Only this time, in spite of the lies, the media hype, the public and private attacks, when it collapses, rich or poor, believer or atheist, anarchy will arrive. This time the collapse will be complete, not just the economy, but the planet itself – and even they, the thieves, autocrats, kleptocrats and their minions will find themselves in the same boat. A boat with no safe harbour and no engine to drive it. Collapse will be the final leveller. No hiding, no protections, no survival. 

We’re all going out the same way, thanks to the greed, arrogance, indifference and irrationality of the same 1%. But they’ll likely still be smiling. They had it all, while it lasted.

So, suck it up America and hold onto your girdle folks, the ride is going to get turbulent, ugly and the outcome hellish.
