America has condemned Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, and rightly so, but that condemnation was far from unequivocal. Americans are increasingly becoming colonial and adversarial, soon to be led by a human so terminally flawed that he will act like a cancer on this planet.
America, the “Land of the Free”, has been at war 222 out of 239 years — since 1776. Land of the Free? For the rest of the world, viewing American Imperialism is sickening. Americans will have the nerve to tell you how great they truly are, but their myopia is even more impressive than their arrogance.
America has been involved in 119 conflicts around the world. Defending democracy? Hardly. Imposing America’s world view on other nations, or protecting American business and industry? Absolutely. Capitalism is what America defends, first and foremost, not the rights of people to self- determination.
America, divided and dangerous, is, today, more interested in enriching itself, its oligarchs and kleptocrats than it is in democracy, and in truth this has been the case since WW2.
As for freedom? America is only interested in freedom for the 1% richest of Americans. They create the conditions for war then use the poorest, mostly uneducated and desperate Americans to “defend American interests”, another way of saying protecting the wealth of the 1% from foreign oligarchs, who in fact are no different than they themselves.
Americans, writ-large are the greatest consumers of ignorance on this planet. They compete for wealth at the expense of the weakest, invading those of different ideologies as though America were some shining star poised to do battle against the evil-doers of this planet.
What utter hypocrisy. America enriches the 1% at the expense of American taxpayers, and subjects nations that won’t roll over to either invasion, economic deprivation or willful harm.
Oh sure, on occasion it fights a “holy war” based on a fictional belief system as it supposedly defends the world from a greater evil, when in actual fact, its hegemonic leaders simply hate competition. Greed is good, and stealing is even better.
But the greatest joke of all is that God-fearing American Christians traverse the globe willfully subjugating other people for “America’s Strategic Interests”. Praise be! The Lord Shall Open!
Open deprivation, open subjugation, open hate, avarice, greed, and an endlessly bottomless abyss of lies.
Was this always the case? Of course not, and some people thought they were actually defending American interests at home, while they bombed, maimed and/or destroyed the countries and the lives of so many people, themselves incapable of defending themselves against their own robber-barons, then assaulted murderously again by America.
Hallelujah Praise Be!
Now America has reached the zenith of hypocrisy. It has elected a criminal, thief, pathological liar, racist, misogynist, klepocrat and will-be autocratic dictator.
No more pretence. No more eating around the global bush.
Now America can steal whatever the Capitalists couldn’t legally steal.
America, let’s face it, is a cesspool, created by the 1% to enrich the 1% and destroy whomever stands up to them.
But America should know this. Zero-sum thinking leads to violence, hate, retribution, war and ultimately self-destruction. America is a dead-man walking. Dead to decency, dead to honour, dead to truth.
No one yet has simply had the courage to unplug it and watch the patient die.
