America has run amuck. With Trump in power, America has become, not just unreliable, but unpredictable and dangerous. How will NATO respond if Greenland, or Canada for that matter is invaded by the United States? The question would have seemed absurd only a year ago, but today seems wholly possible.
When you are dealing with a psychopath, a rational response in defence of one’s country and life may be the last thing you invite.
Article 5 of NATO’s Charter states that if one member is attacked, all members are to defend the party being attacked. The litmus test for NATO will be if Trump, as he stated this morning will send American troops to invade Greenland, if Greenland resists being sold to America.
Where is the sanity in America? At what point does Non-MAGA America, who by the way represent 50.1% of the electorate that DID NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP, stand up and fight America’s sociopath and dictator? International law seems to mean nothing today in relation to trump. His actions are no different than Putin’s. To Trump, might equals right.
Were America to invade Canada, would it be successful? It depends entirely on what measure you use to gauge success? If instability and the inability to remain safe anywhere in America, (which as I say this seems almost comical, as no one in the armed camp of America is actually safe now), is the standard, — I would have to say at that point, it would not be.
What I can tell you from the viewpoint of a normal, rational Canadian, is that if Trump were to invade Canada, then I, as old as I am, — would take out as many of the invaders as possible. Obviously, that would be a death sentence, however, I have both the means and the motive, if America ever invaded Canada. The opportunity, would be the easy part.
There wouldn’t be an American walking a Canadian street that would be safe.
Just a thought.
Americans apparently support a madman. A human who has no morals, no ethics and no rationality. Mr. Trump should remember how many Americans died in the first Civil War, because a second, would be infinitely more deadly. It only required 12 terrorists to destroy two of the most revered symbols of American influence and to embroil America in the longest war in its history. That’s saying something for a country that has spent 93% of its existence in warfare.
Do Canadians take America’s threats lightly? Of course not. That is why the coming response to America’s colonial intentions will result in a war that won’t last for years, — but for generations. Canadians will not go gently into that good night. They will make America a place where fear is a preoccupation, where the quality of life is so endangered that it matters not, who you are, or where you are. You will become a legitimate target.
What will happen when the terrorist response involves 41.5 million Canadians? Do you think any place in America would be safe? Do you think that Canadians would not respond in kind? Trump, while insane, must also be incredibly naive and gullible. Make America Great Again?
How about Make America Into A Funeral Pyre Again.
Canadians don’t take to being threatened by a coward and sociopath.
And we never will.
