Time is not on our side. Stop whining about possibilities and deal with the reality. Our sovereignty is at issue and yet, we have the Federal Government dithering about spending two percent.
Either do it, or resign. Worrying about not wanting to damage the economy is ludicrous. If Canada doesn’t protect its sovereignty, we won’t have to worry about what we pay. This is asinine. Protect Canada and Canadian interests, now, or resign.
I’m retired and willing to pay more in taxes. If I can afford to pay, I would suggest that the richest people in Canada could pay a hell of a lot more. Canadians have become lazy and unwilling to do what is essential. It isn’t just, ‘well, we’ll get to it in due time’. Time is due, in fact we are way past due. Canada has not met the 2% commitment for 50 years. The myopic view of leaders who think in their political self-interest and not the national interest are making things infinitely worse.
Get on with it Federal Government. You are a liability at the moment.
