There is no place in NATO any more for the United States. Trump is a traitor, as is the Republican Party who support him. Trump actually stated today that “Ukraine should never have started the war.”
Is Trump an idiot, or is he delusional? Because his assertions are asinine, actually beyond belief. Trump seems to think he can make decisions about other countries and their sovereignty. He can’t. Ukraine will decide what is best for Ukraine. Not fucking trump. He has absolutely no say in the matter.
As for Russia, to even allow them to have a voice, never mind for America to entertain “their interests”, is laughable. Europe should allow Ukraine to entertain NATO, NOW. NATO, not America, should put troops into Ukraine, NOW, that act as a buffer to Russian aggression. And if Russia attacks NATO troops, then there would be a de facto state of War in existence between NATO and Russia.
Trump’s arrogance, ignorance, crass bullshit and lies, should not be tolerated. He should be told in no uncertain terms, to fuck off. He has no jurisdiction, no say and cannot be trusted. It’s a travesty what Trump is doing to the United States. America is losing allies faster than a dog gets fleas. We, as Canadians don’t trust America, or Americans any more. Most of us, — at least 90% (CTV Poll) think that Canada should stop, as in a complete embargo, all deliveries of gas, oil, strategic minerals and electricity to the U.S..
I’m one of those who agrees whole-heartedly. There are absolutely no mitigating factors for how trump is acting. At the end of this assault on Canada, America will no longer be a friend, ally or trading partner. Rather than diversify, Canadians want trade with the U.S. to end, and for Canada to create new partnerships and long term agreements with Japan, China, Korea , the UK and the EU.
Canada, may well seek membership in the EU, as we have more in common and trust the EU infinitely more than we do America. Canada must militarize and place Canada at arms length from the U.S. America is no longer a partner of any kind with Canada.
Canada needs to, and will, reframe its strategic relationships. The future will look very different, not that America has become an enemy, rather than an ally.
