So, this is what a Fascist State looks like, America.
Today it was suggested that U.S. Border agents can request your phone and search it for anti-American sentiment. And if found, they can refuse Canadians entry into the United States. Obviously, for some of us who truly do harbour anti-American sentiments, it is highly unlikely that we will wish to enter the United States while it is a fascist state.
But to Americans this should be sending off alarms across America. America no longer tolerates free speech. It is one of the tenets of fascism that citizens not be able to disagree with the state.
How the hell did America get to this point?
And did Canadians suddenly decide to distrust and distance themselves from America, even though we in Canada export 75% of our goods to America? For what reason did we suddenly develop this dislike and intolerance for Americans and their actions? What caused the existing state of affairs between our countries?
Well America, it sure didn’t start with Canada.
Was it the fact that we would not allow ourselves to be extorted or threatened? Was it due to America implying that Canada WILL become America’s 51st state? Was it that international trade agreements based on international trade law were torn up and completely disregarded? Was it due to the threats levelled at our sovereign nation, — simply because America is run by a sociopath who sees fit to do so?
America, under the current administration is not a place I will ever return to, do business with, or even transit through in order to reach a destination outside of the U.S..
America has become a place where narcissism, hate, intolerance, fear and retribution against any and all who are not racist, misogynist or fascist has become commonplace. America now hates education and any intelligent action or discourse.
America now has a federal government that harbours the full-intention to deport any and all whom they disagree with. We are watching it transpire. It is not only possible, but probable that every non-white in America will be faced with state-sponsored actions designed to impel non-white Americans to leave.
Or if not, succumb to being second-class citizens in their own country.
Just today, Trump decided to take away the legal status of 530,000 Americans who are of Cuban, Nicaraguan or Venezuelan descent, now living in the U.S. legally.
America is becoming an apartheid state, where there are two sets of laws, (or no laws), where the rich and the racist can force anyone in the U.S. to either conform and accept the acts of a racist state, or place so much pressure on your life, that you will choose to leave.
You can be fired indiscriminately. You can have your social benefits removed. You can have your pensions suspended. You can lose all of the mechanisms to fight this legally.
Trump even sees fit to export his hate filled racism to places like Israel. Gazans, are being killed in the thousands by American weapons and weapons systems by another nation intent of genocide and the theft of lands held by Palestinians for 80 years.
America is, and has attempted to extort Ukraine. Why?
A sociopath’s dream. Accept the steal or be annihilated by a proxy totalitarian state, Russia.
What the fuck is wrong with America?
America has become a fascist state. An undemocratic autocracy, that threatens its neighbours and is willing to extort in order to steal the resources of sovereign nations adjacent to America.
You, America, elected this sociopath. We won’t tolerate him having any influence over Canada in the long run and will do everything possible to distance ourselves from your arrogance and illegal acts. Right now, America is no different than any dictatorship on this planet and we have exactly zero interest in either America and its actions, –or for being party to a theocratic kleptocracy run by thieves and criminals.
Look in the mirror, America! Because that’s all you are, now.
Please leave NATO, and somehow learn to deal with the innumerable problems that haunt America domestically. Ignorance, arrogance, hate, racism, misogyny, a ludicrous gun culture that murders its own citizens with so much regularity, that it has killed more Americans than all those who have fought in war in America, and that included the Civil War. America is becoming an international pariah, yet its citizens do nothing to curb this from happening.
No courts, no equity, no empathy, no kindness. Hate so prevalent that one can see it exhibited by your own government. Yet, you appear happy with this fact, as nothing, absolutely nothing is being done to fight, stand up to, or overturn what is a coup against democracy, science, education and rationality.
Gun control and America’s racist nature are two things you need to work on diligently, just as a start.
Because if you can’t see it, we can.
The United States is imploding.
And we will never trust America, or Americans again.
