Defending what Trump is doing is criminally stupid.
Industrial Nations aren’t going to back down, moron. They are going to work in concert with each other, create free trade agreements between their members and exclude America, in which case you lose both the manufacturing and your market.
Why would any nation accept extortion as a way to do business?
We live in a democracy, still, and based on America’s example, we always will.
I think what you’re going to see happen, is the world to turn its back on America, en masse.
No capitulation, no deals, no agreements, no grovelling to curry favour.
It’s people like Navarro and this administration that are completely out of touch with reality.
America has made a fundamental mistake.
One that is going to create financial and social chaos in America, and it’s this.
The world can do without America, period.
Yes, you have 330 million people in the market. Yes, they are consumers.
And yes, they and America are in debt, up the wazoo.
When the music stops, America’s going to find that there is no chair, even on the horizon.
Intended Consequences
Foreign nations don’t forgive and forget, they move on without you.
The E.U., the U.K., Canada, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, all have common interest, all feel extorted, all are resolved to act in our collective interest.
And on top of this, China is now the financial powerhouse that can and will upset the stability of the U.S.
All of the aforementioned countries will now make agreements with China, providing whatever China requires, because ideology does not trump economics.
America will be producing for…America…period.
You wanted isolation. You can have it.
You attempted to extort the world, and, you will lose.
America is going to go into recession, unemployment is going to rise, debt is going to soar, trade is going to die essentially, and America will have put a bullet through its own brain.
As for the rest of us?
Well, that’s already started.
We’ll live through the pain, and develop new markets, free of extortion, manipulation and abuse. We’ll trade with each other based on ITO and WTO regulations and fairly develop our trading relationships so that both east and west can grow and prosper.
Canada has inked over six new agreements and will be trading with China, Japan and Korea, as well as the E.U., and the U.K.
We were lazy and traded with America because we thought we would be treated fairly. Why not? We have a 5500 mile long border, and have dealt honestly with each other for more than 70 years.
That ended the first time Trump tore up an agreement, because of his greed, narcissism, arrogance and stupidity.
But sorry, that doesn’t happen twice.
Our relationship, as Prime Minister Carney stated, “Is over.”
Carney is a brilliant financier and economist.
Trump and his cohort of clowns are sociopathic, criminals.
No. We don’t play that game.
Time to leave America’s sphere of influence in every possible way.
Whether in relation to economics, trade, finance, social structure or our military.
And as for the military, procurement will be made with nations we trust and need to work in concert with in the future, not America.
We will be outside America’s interest and influence, as fast as humanly possible.
