Donald Trump just decided to cut the National Parks Service budget by a whopping 35% or more, ($1 billion dollars).
To make up for the shortfall he wants to charge foreigners who visit the park much higher entry fees and to prioritize Americans related to entry and reservations.
Awesome. Thank You Donald, really.
We already aren’t planning on coming to the U.S. or spending dime one on anything produced or manufactured in the U.S..
Besides, this is what Americans are going to face;
“Based on the Trump administration’s proposals–many of which are already being executed–for defunding and firing workers at America’s public land agencies could mean a crisis for some of the nation’s most popular government services. The Trump administration and DOGE have fired hundreds of rangers and land managers, and more crowded than ever before. At the same time, the president has even bigger designs to decimate the budgets and staff at U.S. public land agencies; the National Park Service, the U.S. Forest Service, the bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
After accounting for inflation, it would decrease per visitor spending by nearly 55% from expenditures in 2011. Similarly, proposed employment for these agencies would be 30 percent lower than in 2024. In fact, the number of visitors of visitors per park or forest ranger is proposed to go up nearly 75%.
The following chart illustrates the largest cut in 109 years towards the maintenance, research, land conservation and restoration, recreation, cultural and historic preservation, and visitor services.”

So do we want to come to America, where Trump is doing everything possible to destroy the environment, damage the parks and make visitors unwelcome?
Ummm….no.
We’ll gladly not travel to the U.S., as to be honest, Canada is every bit as beautiful and we don’t have to put up with any of the arrogance, hate, racism, and general mayhem from idiocy due to non-existent gun laws, — in addition to animosity from America and Americans to Canada and Canadians.
No thanks.
Most of us who can travel are now headed ANYWHERE BUT, the United States of Dementia.
So please do enjoy your increased lineups, progressive heat waves, expensive accommodations, increasing hurricanes, tornados and flash floods.
Meanwhile I’ll ride my Chinese Adventure motorcycle, which I personally believe has better engineering than anything Harley Davidson has made in thirty years across the best country in the world, and enjoy the company of the most kind, empathic and friendly people on the planet.
Will we miss the ever-increasing Disunited States of America?
Ummm…hardly. There’s more than 95.8% of the world’s population to visit and 98.33% of the world’s landmass to photograph and enjoy.
And guess what? Almost anywhere we travel on earth outside the Disunited States it will be safer.
Thanks Donald for putting all of this into perspective.
Your myopia will lead America’s visionary leaders in Congress to have to face the fact that the world is losing trust and the will to trade with the U.S..
We, collectively, don’t like extortionists, and we won’t tolerate threats. We will trade with the rest of the world, freely and create new relationships, partners and allies.
And it won’t be easy. That’s why Canadians are coming to hate America and everything it apparently stands for, — because it isn’t the rule of law, or equality, or minority rights, or science, education, fairness or democracy.
We really don’t know what you actually stand for anymore, and so, we’ll move away from America’s sphere of influence as fast as humanly possible.
And, while what’s coming will be hard for Canadians, it will be horrific for Americans who are intellectuals, scientists, educators and academics, combined with health professionals. They thought America was a better place.
It isn’t.
As for us?
We are never coming back America.
Not ever.
