What bullshit.
His direction to Hegseth, another brilliant dickhead, in relation to sinking Venezuelan fishing boats and seizing sovereign assets of a foreign country in the form of tankers and their oil, while in international waters, is against International Maritime Law.
The BBC “spoke to a range of experts in international and maritime law after the first strike. Several said the US may have acted illegally by attacking the vessel.”
The US is not a signatory to United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
Big surprise huh?
But U.S. legal advisors for the military have said, “that the U.S. should act in a manner consistent with its provisions.”
If only the U.S. had some ethics or morality.
Professor Luke Moffett of Queens University Belfast said,
“The use of aggressive tactics must be reasonable and necessary in self defence where there is immediate threat of serious injury or loss of life to enforcement officials”, noting that US moves were “unlawful under the law of the sea…labelling everyone a terrorist does not make them a lawful target and enables states to side-step international law.”
Professor Mary Ellen O’Connell of Notre Dame University stated,
“No credible facts or legal principles have come to light to justify these attacks.”
These attacks are essentially extrajudicial murders by the Trump Administration.
Obviously seizing ships of foreign nations is illegal as well.
Drug trafficking by Venezuela is known by the DEA to be negligible. If the U.S. wants to stop drug trafficking, they should spend the resources used to murder Venezuelans on interdicting drugs at the Texas and California border with Mexico.
The other option would be to seize Chinese vessels bringing precursors for the manufacture of fentanyl and car fentanyl from China to Mexico.
But of course, Hypocrite in Chief is too much of a coward to actually do that.
Regime Change and Stealing Venezuela’s Oil
The only reasons for Thief in Chief to seize Venezuelan ships carrying oil is to steal their cargo and to force Maduro to step-down, so that the U.S. can institute a puppet government favourable to the U.S.
The CIA is actively in the process of undermining Maduro to make this event possible, but if the US cannot illegally overthrow Maduro, they can and likely will invade, just as Herr Trump stated this morning.
America and their new Fuhrer in Chief is in the business of enriching itself at the expense of nations incapable of defending themselves against a military that is the largest in the world.
But Trump, the loving Peacemaker, has no compunction about using the military as a tool, like an axe, — to force compliance.
Extortion is nothing new to this administration that has torn up international agreements that it signed in order to force other nations to pay a ‘tax’ to America for doing trade with it.
Canada, Denmark, Mexico, Columbia and several other sovereign countries should pay close attention.
If the US attempts at extortion fail, there is little doubt that Trump will not just threaten his neighbours, as he has already done with Canada, but will act to ‘take’ what he and his cronies want, illegally and by force.
Future Threats
The nations of the west can no longer trust the United States. It has proven itself to be untrustworthy, while being capable and willing to use force if it deems it necessary to seize the wealth of other nations.
Canadians do not trust America or Americans and are in the process of leaving America’s sphere of influence, economically, politically and militarily.
We don’t want anything from America except to leave Canada the fuck alone.
We have gone from skepticism to anger to resolute in our resolve to stop America from harming our country.
You are no friend, no partner and no ally.
Allies don’t threaten their partners.
America has, and thought nothing of it.
But we have, and we aren’t interested, not now, not ever.
