Was There Any Actual Reason For The U.S. to Ban DJI Drones and Photographic Products? You Know America…It’s Starting To Look Like Forest Gump is Running America, because “Stupid is, as stupid Does.”

Of course not.

Today the U.S. government banned DJI drones from sale in the U.S..

The U.S. not only has no proof that DJI drones in any way pose a security risk to the U.S., they haven’t even begun an audit to determine the facts.

But, like everything the U.S. government seems to act on today, it’s irrational and stupid.

Add DJI to other Chinese corporations like, Kaspersky, HTC and Huawei, which also never received any rational determinations of why they were banned, and you have all you need to know about the United States logic and rationality.

Digital Camera World stated in an interview with Adam Welsh that 460,000 jobs and about $116 billion worth to economic activity were generated in the U.S. by DJI.

Ouch. It seems like the U.S. may have once again, shot itself in the…crotch.

So what of those who require parts or servicing?

C’est la guerre America.

America’s xenophobia and fear of China has become an impediment to not just commerce, but to rationality in America. Soon, everything made in China will be a ‘risk’ to America.

Yup, good old intelligent America is once again largely driven by geopolitical tensions surrounding technology and trade.

Let’s face it. The DJI ban is obvious.

The U.S. like with EV’s, battery technology and a raft of other technologies, either can’t compete with China or is simply acting in a protectionist and isolationist way.

If America keeps this up, it won’t be selling anything soon, or importing anything.

Seeing as 70% of consumer products are not made in the U.S., I guess I’d suggest that Americans get used to it.

DJI continues to call for a fair and transparent audit, but without an agency stepping up to take responsibility, DJI could simply be banned by default.

Oh…such a surprise.

As America falls farther and farther behind China, and becomes more and more insular and protective, the future looks bleak.

American researchers, professors and academics in almost every field of scientific endeavour are fleeing the U.S., as are graduate students from the most august Universities in the United States.

Meanwhile, Trump doubles down on ignorance, stupidity and arrogance.

Soon, all that will be left in America are the dullards who voted for Trump.

In Canada, we’ll double down on DJI’s excellent products and continue to look forward to products that supersede in every conceivable way, anything the U.S. has produced related to photography and drone technology.

America today, looks like a nation afraid to compete, because to compete America would have to buy the components from China, Japan or Korea to start with, making the cost of this equipment, likely twice as expensive, and not nearly as robust.

I own a raft of DJI products. I’ve had zero problems and 100% usability with them.

I suppose America will have to make do with the inferior products, made in the U.S.A.

Full circle. That’s where America has gone, and is going.

Damn stupid.
