I am trying to understand how this federal administration can be so profoundly immoral, causing intentional harm to citizens and immigrants, demonstrating extreme selfishness, wholly without empathy for those they willfully, deliberately and with absolute malice harm, — and now kill.
This isn’t some supernatural force at work. This is a human construct of those who hole positions of power and great responsibility, yet show no concern whatsoever for their orders, the intent of those orders, and the people that they place in positions designed specifically to carry out their orders.
I don’t believe in evil.
I believe in science and social psychology and all of the disciplines that constitute those varies fields of science, so discussion evil as some form or supernatural force, is a total non-starter.
Rational explanations exist for evil, in all its forms as a constituent part of human traits.
And we can ‘see evil’ in the actions of this President, in his heirs, those he has selected, and those that formulate the ideas that are then passed onto a man incapable of even acknowledging evil. A man so narcissistic, that it constitutes serious mental illness.
And it isn’t simply one classification of mental illness, in fact there may well be a bacterium, treponema pallidum, at work inside the President, which could at least partially explain his advanced state of mental illness.
But aside from that, one has to seriously ask;
“Why do the people in this administration take pleasure, pure unadulterated pleasure in causing harm, inflicting pain, stealing, extorting and threatening those who are not as evil, — yes, evil as themselves?
Why are they incapable of introspection, self-analysis or simply, a conscience?
Of course there is social polarization and group think at work. Those who hold strong dislike, that are highly prejudiced and racist see their actions similar to what those who put on a brown shirt in Nazi Germany. “We’re just doing our job”. Right?
Well, as it was then, not just unacceptable but entirely illegal, were it not for this administration enabling and creating a framework that makes its application ‘banal’ – where (ordinary?) people can perform horrific acts like those witnessed by my own eyes, due to either ideological extremism, situational pressures, or simply because they conform to ‘what is normal within a group’, in the latest cases, ICE and the Border Patrol within Homeland Security and Defence.
All I have seen from these men, and women, is what can only pass for ‘hate’ and therefore ‘evil intent’.
The willingness, even the apparent imperative, not constructed by the situation, but ‘brought to’ the situation, suggests that there is malevolence behind those assigned the tasks that they were genuinely hired to effect.
Evil Is a Human Trait
Good and Evil, are terms to use to interpret behaviour. Without a human mind to skew reality, it is generally neutral. But men and women devoid of prosocial mechanisms — such as empathy, compassion, and guilt, cannot be considered ‘good’.
Humans have a unique capacity for extreme cruelty. Unfortunately, it is not a rarity. How could it be? Just look around.
There is according to the DSM IV or DSM V, described below, a number of disorders, several of which are manifested in those within the current White House and its administration.
This isn’t conjecture. This isn’t supposition, and this isn’t irrelevant to how America is now being led or governed.
“The DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition) is a comprehensive manual published by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) that serves as a standard for diagnosing and classifying mental health disorders.
It categorizes 298 mental disorders based on specific criteria, including behavioural and emotional patterns.”
According to the definition, and the statements made by those in the White House and the administration who even show traits of psychopathy, “those who gain sadistic pleasure from inflicting harm.”
Experiments by Milgram and Zimbardo clearly illustrate that even ‘good’ people can be influenced by environments to commit evil acts.
All Four Root Causes of Modern “Evil” are clearly in evidence in this Administration and those employed by it.
- Instrumental Greed: Hurting others to get what one wants.
- Threatened Egotism: acts of revenge or violence when one’s ego or status is threatened
- Idealism: Causing harm in the name of a “higher” cause (religious, political).
- Sadistic Pleasure: A small percentage of people who genuinely enjoy causing suffering.
All four of the causes cannot only be witnessed by America’s President, his White House staff and those assigned Secretariat positions, but accurately documented within and all of the actions of this administration.
So In Summary
Evil lives in the hearts and minds of those in office within this administration. They have proven themselves capable of evil. They have will intent and with malice clearly articulated that on social media and in the mainstream media.
That intent to harm. They intend to be retributive. They intend on isolating, then harming, and then causing as much pain and psychological trauma as possible to those they identify as being worthy of its receipt.
They are, without and further need to analyze their actions, truly…
Evil Men and Women.
And when their day is done, and they are no longer able to inflict pain on others, — it will be time for justice to have its say, and its day.
All should be tried. All if found guilty, should be treated as men and women guilty of crimes to humanity, and all, should be imprisoned.
