Today, Shada Islam wrote an opinion piece in the Guardian that was as clear as it was unequivocal in its condemnation of the United States and its actions towards the Muslim world. Americans would be wise to read it and give it worthy consideration, however, I am under no such illusions. Americans have been radicalized in their hate, first by an event, and then the constant exploitation of that heinous crime to then visit significantly worse in retribution against a people and their religion that has clearly poisoned the minds of those too simple to exercise a rational response.
‘They’, and by that I mean those capable of scapegoating an entire religion and its people, are completely accepting of their own government’s lies and misrepresentations. Why not, ‘my government speaks for me’, right? And ‘your government’ seeks retribution for actions perceived as being caused by the generalized ‘them’, and any and all who America’s racist leaders identify as the culpable, whether rational or not.

In it, Shada states how Bush’s actions and his attack on Afghanistan 25 years ago, “normalized racism and hatred for Muslims” and how it immediately racialized minorities and refugees in the U.S..
I completely agree.
Maybe because, I first am an atheist, and secondly because analysis requires one to not become emotionally pathological in response.
In any event, the West’s reaction to the events of 911 were neither rational or logical. They were a knee-jerk response to the actions of 12 equally vile and radicalized fundamentalist Muslims, used by other vile men in order to initiate acts that would hopefully lead to the creation of an Islamic State, eventually. And America, along with nations who supported America in its quest for vengeance, went along with it.
What followed over the last 25 years has been the deaths of millions of Muslims caused in fact by the acts of a small number of fundamentalist muslim terrorists, not the actions of millions of innocents.
However, that doesn’t play well with a nation with the most powerful military in the world, itching for the opportunity to prove it.
The Rebirth of Hatred as Cause for Acts of Aggression
She stated; “Rubio’s speech at the Munich Security Conference and his language that called for the defence of “white, western and Christian civilization against the contamination of racialized migrants”.
I too was shocked that the European audience applauded Rubio, who has turned out to be just another racist, more emollient more seemingly reasonable, yet girded by exactly the same hate, prejudice and discriminatory traits as his fellow American racists within the current U.S. administration and the GOP.
What he actually accomplished in Munich was to preach a message of xenophobia and hate, that would fall upon those equally hateful of Muslim immigration into Europe. Rubio clearly demonstrated how he, his boss and his compatriots use xenophobic dog-whistles to pump up those of like-mind, especially those in America who see it as a call to arms against people, who as yet, have only defended themselves against American and Israeli attacks.
Don’t get me wrong. Khomeini is equally as evil and deplorable as Trump and his ilk.
Yet, Americans, once again, are willing and able to demonize another Muslim nation’s people, though they too are victims, having been the target of terror visited upon them by a Islamic Cleric, a fundamentalist sociopath, who is little different in his hatred of those who oppose him as that of Donald Trump, his cabinet and his Racist White House. The only difference is that it is much easier to scapegoat foreigners who are not white, not Christian and not westerners.
Particularly so, when one refuses to acknowledge that those speaking on your behalf, America, are hate-filled evil reptiles constituent of the same men and women who represent the leadership of your government in the United States of America.
The Circus of Lies and Intolerance knows No Limits
For those of us watching these charades by America, it is more than obvious that America’s hegemonic actions, including threats to damage, invade or annex any and all who will not bow down to their incumbent white racist Christian tyrannical leadership now in power in America, are to receive the same treatment in the future.
However, that is for the future.
What does it say about America when the world is watching those America’s leaders lie, cheat, obfuscate and hide from the facts of their own crimes? Thievery, sexual deviancy, a continuous litany of lies, suppression and redaction of facts that illustrate and place a spotlight on crimes, even murder of American citizens, — all in the hope of precluding the discovery of their own crimes and the hopeful avoidance of prosecution and conviction?
I find it unconscionable that the speech by Rubio, as some sort of virtuous protection of American ‘standards of baviour’ which truly can only be seen as blatant xenophobia; is applauded. Personally, I find the actions of America, equally heinous to those crimes clearly evidenced by the Iranian regime, as clearly illustrated on national television for years of the mass-murder of Palestinians under the explosive weight of America’s 25,000 tons of munitions, liberally rained on the heads of women and children, while being starved and targeted.
Yet, Americans support those guilty of genocide, instead.
Blindness and hubris unacknowledged.
Europes’ playing along in order to signal their acquiescence to America’s blatant acts of illegality in relation to International Affairs and the rule of law, — is anything but virtuous. It is cowardice and complicity in equal parts.
Europe’s leaders will find as Canada has, that American ‘protection’, affords nothing of the kind. America has become a tyrannical autocracy whose designs are clearly manipulative, meant only to attempt to ameliorate European defection, while continuing to focus on plunder, thievery and economic and physical conquest.
The world will not have to wait long to see verification of America’s Imperialist plans in any event. Should mollification fail then, I have no doubt, threats will once again ensue.
What the world needs to discover and embrace, is that the only defence against tyranny is to call it out and ally against it in action.
Trump’s close ties to xenophobic leaders in Slovakia and Hungary should not be tolerated, as acquiescence only emboldens the bully, the aggressor.
Time will tell if the world will become the ‘host’ for America’s parasitic infection, or if it will somehow find a spine, and stiffen its resolve to do what is ‘the only right thing’, in opposing America and its illegal and fascist actions.
I recommend before Americans jump to the defence of their so-called leader, that they listen to the warnings that Shada Islam has so effectively elucidated.
Time is short, and ignorance, no longer an excuse.
