You Are Not: You Are A Blatantly Racist Kleptocracy Run by a Convicted Felon and Racist Autocrat
It’s time to rip off the bandaid America.
You are a blatantly racist nation encompassing both undeniable, aggressive hate and deeply ingrained systemic disparities designed to favour whites.
You are racists, and you are now controlled by racists.
Any other explanation is complete bullshit, and the world, in fact virtually every democratic nation sees that as fact.
Overt prejudice has historically shaped America’s laws and institutions, and modern racism frequently manifests itself in subtle, institutional and structural ways that continually reinforce social inequality.
Your leader, the epitome of a xenophobic, white-aryan supporter and deeply racist family, ingrained both historically and exhibited daily by his statements, his actions, — is so visceral, so obvious and so vehement that it is impossible to not state that America today, is itself the “shit hole” that Trump likes to call every other nation that doesn’t bow down to extortion, acceptance of his lies, his threats, his hate, and his unmitigated greed.
America, to the world is now bereft of decency. It is becoming invisible, and white middle-class Americans sit smugly, quietly and ignore what this administration is doing to drag America back to 1870.
The Historical Context of Overt American Racism
State-Sanctioned Discrimination like the Jim Crow period is where America looks to return to. Segregation and the disenfranchisement of non-whites by gerrymandering and legal devices is no different than poll taxes, literacy tests, or failing that, — violent suppression.
The use of redlining, where mortgages were systematically denied to residents in minority neighbourhoods — was designed to create generational wealth gaps between, the haves – white America, and those who were not.
So has anything really changed?
Not if Donald Fucking Trump can help it. He simply doesn’t care if racism is covert or overt. Today he seeks to reinstitute institutional bias with disproportionate interactions within the criminal and civil justice system to affect healthcare access and school funding, and seeing as the Supreme Court is complicit, (yes complicit) in these actions, it will only continue unabated for two and a half more years, at least.
Meanwhile the GORP, the Grand Old Racist Party often conceals discriminatory outcomes behind seemingly neutral policies, allowing perpetrators to deny racial intent.
Pretence has replaced overt racism, and that is essentially all that has changed.
Plausible deniability by legislators and using the power of the courts, the justice department, the office of the attorney general, Homeland Security, the FBI, —- all of it acting to suppress dissent, to stifle equality, to decrease opportunities and to assure and ensure to white-voters that nothing is going to change, is the message and the action.
The World’s View
To those of us who live in democracies that strive for equality, fairness, and truly extend education, health care and opportunity for all irrespective of race, religion, ethnicity and colour, it is stultifying to watch America ‘pretend’ that it isn’t racist, and blatantly so.
It is simply one more reason why the world is turning its back on the United States. It extends from racism to imperialism, to hegemony, to acts of coercion, extortion and overt threats levelled at any nation that will not submit or bow down to what is a criminal family and kleptocratic administration.
We are quickly reaching the point of ending alliances, eliminating trade relationships, and in not trusting anything that the United States supposedly believes or affirms, simply because there is nothing but dissonance between what America says, and what America does every single fucking day.
Do we hate America? Not yet, but I’ll tell you, we do hate what we see as America’s lack of ethics, morality, decency and empathy.
The world has at least two and a half years of what we perceive as an existential threat to peace and prosperity in the world to live through, with no guarantee that American greed and hate won’t win out and return to attacking other nations and attempting to steal their resources.
We’re preparing, not for Russia, but for the United States of America and another round of fascism and hate to be on display, because democracy is fragile, and Americans are both too naive or unwilling to fight for it.
