I just want to say that the fact that you are passionate about your motorcycles, actually bodes well for the industry and our sport as a whole. Every time I get to meet with a group of guys on the road or one guy sitting having coffee, I’m always pleased by the kindness, the interest and the helpfulnesss of fellow riders. I don’t know of any other sport that has the same level of interest by its members and families. As a family of motorcyclists we actually care about each other.
I want to say something else. No matter what you ride, or why, the fact that you ride says a lot about who you are to the rest of us. Don’t assume that we exist in bubbles where we don’t care about how you’re doing. Many times I’ve been on the road and seen someone in trouble, pulled over just to ask the obvious question. “Are you okay? Can I help.”
I don’t care if you drive a Ducati, an Indian, or a Honda, we are all fellow riders. And it doesn’t matter if its a Cafe Racer, a Sports Bike, a Sports Touring Bike, Adventure Bike or Cruiser. We are, family.
This holiday season I want to wish all of you a happy holiday. May you find peace, joy and safety.
