Trump has accomplished what multiple wars could not. Opened a fissure so wide and so deep between Europe, Canada and the United States, that it is highly unlikely that it will ever be bridged again.
His “transactional” approach to trade, as he calls it, is known in Canada, as extortion. And while Mr. Trump seems to believe that extortion is part of a normal ‘business plan’, we don’t agree. In Canada we typically put people in prison for extortion. Maybe that explains why in the U.S. , Mr. Trump has gone bankrupt six times.
In any event, we don’t want to play Mr. Trump’s games. We would rather take our business to reputable partners. And, the relationships we build with our partners and friends, unlike the ‘transactions’ that may occur with the United States, will be designed to lead to trust and loyalty, something Americans don’t seem to have a handle on.
But they will.
Because Canada is going to take all of its business, materials, products, minerals, oil and gas away from America, and send it to trustworthy partners, like the EU, U.K., as well as China, Japan and Korea.
And if the message still doesn’t compute, Canada will embargo the U.S.
Why simply fool around with tariffs?
They may well be America’s “most beautiful words’, but in Canada they create a completely different response. It’s called anger.
And in Canada our anger will result in shutting down pipelines to the U.S, electrical distribution and in the future, the most valuable commodity, water.
While the Southwest of the United States turns into one big desert, Canada will watch Americans desiccate and blow away in the wind.
But remember this Donald. The cause of America’s long-term woes was you, Donald J. Trump, who took so much pride in his ability to act like a zero sum autocrat and general Neanderthal.
So much winning Donald.
I guess you never, ever, understood real sports, eh Donald?
Because they call for teamwork, or you’d probably end up sitting on the bench, — assuming of course that you had any abilities at all, which is seriously in doubt.
