Something really interesting is happening, not just in the U.S., but around the world, and it has to do with an odd subject – electric vehicles.
But it isn’t just about EV’s, it has to do with the world’s view of the man who owns the company, Elon Musk.
Since EV’s first really came into being, Republicans, by and large, have been anti-electric vehicle. If you didn’t drive a Ford F-150 or a Dodge Ram, or a Jeep, you weren’t a red blooded American, especially a Republican man.
And that message was so ingrained in Americans in particular that it has permeated the American psyche. Real men drive internal combustion engined vehicles, and the bigger and less economical, the better.
Whether you believe it or not is immaterial to the fact that it’s true.
Icons in terms of manufacturing are what American Republican men buy. It’s what they respect and in some ways they see themselves in a vision of the product.
“This is America!”
The problem comes when the world moves on to the most life affirming realities, one being that the world is being destroyed by the, “this is America”, mentality,
The second element of this problem is that Republican men, more so than any other group, are unwilling to educate themselves on the facts. They don’t care if the global temperature is rising, the seas are rising, if forests are burning, or the oceans are acidifying.
“I’m gonna buy an American icon. I’m buying a Ford F-150, maybe one with Harley-Davidson printed all over it as well.”
Okay, but the world has moved on. And unlike Donald Trump, who plays to the hard core Magans that don’t care about the environment, or even the rationality of what might help their own bottom lines, the rest of us realize through being rational and educated that it makes sense to respect the environment and to find alternatives to what are in effect environmentally destructive ICE or internal combustion engined vehicles, especially those that are heavy, high in horsepower and guzzle fuel like Americans drink ‘pop’.
But now something equally irrational is at play in the United States, which may well spell doom for what should be considered by died in the wool Red Republicans, and that is that their Iconic Republican Magan leader of DOGE, (not Dodge), is responsible for building a vehicle that is anathema to them, and that works against their entire belief structure.
“Climate change is a hoax.” Isn’t that what FOX and your stable genius has been telling your for over ten years?
“Electric vehicles is a communist plot. Only the Chinese would drive a piece of shit like that.” It sure sounds familiar to what I’ve been listening to for ten years.
“Drill baby drill.” From Texas to North Dakota, the mantra of Republicans. Open up the national parks and the Arctic Ocean. “Drill baby drill.”
For Republicans it’s completely counterintuitive.
And now, to the detriment of Ketamine Boy himself, both sides of the equation, don’t, and won’t buy a Tesla, which interestingly should be the iconic brand of Americans, as it is being produced in California and Texas.
Unfortunately, Musk has entered into the twilight zone, where the world now hates his arrogance, his entitled attitude and his lack of empathy, irrespective of his being autistic.
America’s lack of electrification may now doom Tesla, as the rest of the world, accepting of the need for electrification and rational car designs, are now buying any of the 97 Chinese electrical vehicles, which Americans have never prepared for on the one hand, and denigrated with the other.
Their vehicles are more reliable, cheaper, have greater range, and better battery longevity and, are cheaper.
America didn’t shoot itself in the foot, it shot off its genitals.
Now Americans are completely confused and angry that they are being left behind.
This last week, Trump had a sales commercial on the front lawn of the White House, trying to stimulate sales for a technology he has publicly derided since it came into being.
The joke, is that even the iconic American manufacturers have seen the light, as the sale of their vehicles are in decline, while at the same time, the climate is worsening and those rational enough to actually pay attention understand that the path America is on is a disastrous one.
Ford, makes an electric EV F-150.
Harley, is dying, and has embraced electric, too late. While its clients age out of motorcycling and youth, outside of the U.S. buy the future, not their grandfathers overpriced, overweight, underpowered, unreliable and ill-handling behemoth.
As a motorcyclist, I find it sort of humorous when someone says, “I’ll never ride an electric bike.”
Well, the odds are you will, unless you want to give up riding, or you’re so old that it’s irrelevant anyway, because we’ll ride what is manufactured and allowed to be registered.
The chickens are coming home to roost, and American factories, are closing and losing market share. It’s only a matter of time now.
America is now 3-5 years behind China in EV design, batteries and electrification of the auto sector.
Worse yet, America’s electrification of the grid for chargers and EV’s is ten years behind.
Tesla, which should be booming, is dying. Literally dying.
Meanwhile red blooded Americans are still in complete denial, listening to their ‘stable genius’ and his sidekick, Ketamine Boy, who are both rapidly disenfranchising Americans from the American dream.

Oh…that’s unlikely seeing as God is a complete fiction, invented by other white guys to control the masses through guilt and fear.
