As for calling Europeans “pathetic”, I would suggest that the only pathetic element is America’s gutless bowing down to Putin, and of course your own personal unprofessionalism and ineptness.
As for Europe freeloading? I would suggest that America do Europe a favour, and get the hell out.
As for us in Canada? We’ll be ecstatic if America would just ignore Canada. We’ll militarize and we’ll diversify our trade. Soon you won’t know that Canada is next door, because you won’t receive our oil, energy or trade of any kind.
We’re looking forward and building new trade relationships with the E.U., U.K., Japan, Korea, and yes, China, as at least they aren’t threatening us.
As for their tariffs? We’ll be dropping ours against China and welcoming their automotive industry to Canada in the months to come. Seeing as China is the leader in EV’s, and that Canada has all the resources necessary to build Chinese vehicles in Canada, both for domestic consumption and export, we’re looking forward to it.
We’re also looking forward to leaving the relationship we thought we had with the U.S.
We thought we had an ally. We thought we had a trading partner that respected trade agreements and international law. We were wrong on both counts.
But that’s okay. We’ll be joining the E.U., whether as a full-member of with a similar status to that of Norway. We’ll contribute to E.U. Defence and the provision of munitions to Ukraine, which Canada is increasing its capability and supplies of.
Canada will spend whatever it requires on defence, adding new fighters from Sweden, new destroyers with European weapons systems aboard, new SSBN submarines from France as well as new AIP submarines from France or Korea, new tanks and AIFV’s from Germany as well as doubling the size of Canada’s military forces to 200,000 men.
We will likely impose conscription due to the ongoing threats from the United States, and we will harden the border with America and institute new mandates for visas in order to enter Canada.
It’s pathetic that America chose to ‘attack’ its allies, but specifically Canada, since we have two hundred years of interoperability and have supported America when attacked, having spent blood and treasure fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, not to mention Korea, and two WW’s .
But don’t worry. We know with to do with those who backstab us, and we’re committed to doing it.
