Watching America’s new Secretary of Defense is like watching a 12 year old on a football field. A man devoid of acumen, intelligence, knowledge or humility, isn’t the man that should lead any defence portfolio.
Standing on a table yelling “Bring it on….we’ll kick your ass, ” doesn’t instil any level of confidence in the child.
What is wrong with an administration that is so devoid of intelligence that it places a juvenile boy in the role of Secretary of Defence?
This week, Hegseth brought his wife to confidential military meetings with foreign military representatives, like a grade seven boy going to his first dance.
On March 6th at the Pentagon, he brought her to a high-level discussion with the UK Defence Minister, where discussions to stop sharing intelligence and future military cooperation was being detailed.
Jennifer Hegseth does not work for the Department of Defence, or have a security clearance. This comes at a time when a scandal erupted in the US after “The Atlantic’s” editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg was mistakenly added to a ‘secret’ chat that discussed plans for the U.S. to attack Houthi Rebels in Yemen.
“When pressed by reporters, Hegseth first denied texting war plans and Trump said he didn’t know anything about the situation. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard denied that the group chat contained classified information. Then, on March 26, The Atlantic published what it said was classified information from the group chat that the magazine had previously withheld out of its concern for national security.”
Hegseth then doubled down on his stupidity, by denying it.
“Hegseth’s sophisticated linguistic analysis of the difference between”war” and “attack” (because apparently a military “attack” with bombs isn’t an act of warfare) runs parallel to another dopey claim being made by his supporters. That claim suggests that Hegseth, as chief of the DoD, is ultimately responsible for what is classified and what isn’t and that the information he was sharing with a prominent journalist did not rise to the level of government secrets. Hegseth has also dodged questions about whether the Signal chat took place on personal (as opposed to government issued) phones—which is something that security pros have worried about, since personal phones are much more hackable than government ones. “Nobody’s texting war plans,” Hegseth recently told a journalist who asked about the phones. “I know exactly what I’m doing,”he said, adding: “I’m really proud of what we accomplished.” Gizmodo.com.

Well, if that’s that standard for excellence, I suppose the Chinese Defence Minister should be invited to all future top-secret discussions, cause, you know, “keep your friends close and your enemies, closer.”
Is this the machinations of a child who wants to impress his spouse? I mean seriously folks?
I’ve heard better excuses from men cheating on their wives, while caught on camera in bed with the ‘non-person’ during the ‘non-event’.
His inability to think cogently is so obvious that foreign attendees to two meetings in Brussels where Hegseth’s wife again attended were shocked by her presence. Some didn’t even know who she was.
A 1967 federal nepotism law prohibits government officials from hiring, promoting or recommending relatives to any civilian position over which they exercise control. Yet, Hegseth’s younger brother, Phil, also holds a position within the Pentagon and accompanied Pete Hegseth on his inaugural trip to the Indo-Pacific aboard the Pentagon’s 747 aircraft.
Is he just stupid, immature or trying to impress his dullard friends with his ‘powerful role’ in this asinine administration?
