Trump has suggested that Ukraine ‘recognize’ Crimea, as part of Russia. Maybe Trump doesn’t recognize that Crimea IS part of Ukraine.
For a so-called (at least temporarily) democracy, America is illustrating what it intends to become, a kleptocracy run by a sociopath.
It’s time for Americans to face facts. The present administration isn’t simply a change of leadership or party, it’s an autocracy and a threat to democracy.
Americans are blindly watching their futures disappear as a man bent on instituting a dictatorship in the United States, (soon to be renamed, I’m sure), leads America into the abyss.
Why are Americans simply watching 30% of the electorate destroy America?
Only Americans can answer that question, but we on the other side of the border are in the process of moving out of America’s sphere of influence and into a new relationship with the E.U., the U.K., Japan, Korea, and China.
We now have another international pariah to worry about. One without the rule of law, of ethics or morality.
Trump will do anything, say anything in order to remain in power. His willingness to ignore the Supreme Court and to destroy America’s institutions in education, health, the NIH, the FBI, and now his intrusion into selecting a child as the Secretary of Defence clearly illustrates that America is virtually out of control.
Intent on sending the American dollar into the toilet, the bond market in freefall and the stock market into collapse, Trump is illustrating his six time bankrupt business acumen.
A recession, at best, is to follow, but more alarmingly for Americans, America’s currency has lost its luster, and will likely lose its status as the world’s reserve currency in the future.
No currency need replace it, but a mulitpolar world both geopolitically and economically does not bode well for the future in relation to global stability or global economics.
Trump wants to change the world order. Well he will accomplish that by making China the de facto world leader.
The slip has become a slide and the end result may well be a collapse, all because of one man’s narcissism, ignorance and malice toward ‘others’.
While the outcome will be painful for the world at large, the poor will suffer disproportionately, as they always do. U.S.A.I.D.’s disolution means that millions will face starvation, deprivation and forced emigration in the search for food, opportunity, education and medical assistance.
America, intent on building walls will be overrun by immigrants fleeing deprivation, which will in turn further destabilize America and the western world.
Americans, usually myopic, will wake up to the fact that they have willfully, and with full knowledge, destroyed America.
Abraham Lincoln saw it coming when he stated;
‘America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we lose our freedoms it will be because we have destroyed ourselves from within.’ — Abraham Lincoln”
And so it is that a man devoid of character, honor, vision, intelligence, truth, or virtually any decent character will have accomplished what tinpot foreign dictators and despots could not accomplish.
Trump will succeed in destroying America as “we” knew it.
And it will all be due to American arrogance, ignorance and stupidity.
Winning…yup…it’s all about the winning.
Right?
