Whichever Party Fails to Support Canadian Sovereignty Will End Up In the Political Wilderness

Canadians want Unity Before All Else

Whichever party breaks with support for the Liberal Party will pay a price heretofore unimagined. Canadians are not in the mood for zero-sum politics, as usually played by the Conservatives.

Canadians writ-large are going to demand that sovereignty, and its protection, be the sole issue following yesterday’s election and whichever party decides to seek an opportunistic vote of non-confidence will suffer a major defeat and a long-term political alienation from Canadians.

Fighting America’s tariffs, economic damage and an attempted annexation of Canada is “the” sole issue for the foreseeable future.

Without the maintenance of a sovereign Canada, the rest becomes irrelevant.

Therefore several areas that enable Canada to thrive in a threat environment will become ultra-important.

The first is economic growth.

Canada is, and will, diversify its economic alliances, free trade and exports to new partners and regions. And this will include China, as China is not intent on destroying Canada.

The second is strengthening Canada’s military.

Canada will likely need to expand the military in size, strength and capability, across the forces, in the air, on the land and at sea.

Canadian procurement will be expedited, along with its commitment to build new industrial capacity for the military in terms of weapon systems and munitions.

Canada is inking agreements with new weapon systems providers for River Class Destroyers, Fighters for the Air Force, Under Ice capable submarines for the navy, and a divisional sized increase for the Army that may require conscription to accomplish. This will include armour, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery, attack helicopters, transport helicopters, over the horizon radar and drone and reconnaissance aircraft for the air force.

Canada is at a crossroads. One that requires a willingness to increase the national debt for the coming years and appropriate significant increases in military expenditures, likely to the tune of 3% GDP, or approximately 70 billion dollars a year.

This isn’t a negotiable exercise. It is an emergency for Canada.

America is intent on breaking Canada economically, and supporting Russia’s incursions in the Arctic and in Europe.

America is no friend.

America is no ally.

And America, will never again be trusted by Canadians.

We are done with America, now and forever.
