It is often stated that justice is blind. No longer.
Justice is now dependent on the salacious lies of the one person in the United States that should be a defender of the law and American Constitution.
Now, justice depends on who you are.
If you are a member of Trump’s inner circle, where truth is anathematic, then the law is simply an impediment to getting what you want.
Be it money, sex, property, possessions or interests, the law is essentially two-tiered. One for the poor, the disenfranchised, immigrants, people of colour, gays, lesbians, transgender, and one for the rich, the powerful, the 1%, and the friends and sycophants of the powerful.
Justice, for many, has become an oxymoron.
And Donald Trump, J.D. Vance, and Trump’s legal appointments to the Supreme Court and America’s Federal Courts are destroying justice deliberately, with malice and full knowledge of its implications.
But now, Trump’s lies are killing jurists and their families.
Justice Esther Salas had her son gunned down because Trump weaponized the American right wing to ‘hate’ the justice system, its representatives and their families.
Not only has jurisprudence been rendered useless in the United States, it extends to America’s foreign policy and foreign relations, now, a zero sum game where any means that enriches Trump is justified.
Lies, extortion, criminal acts, are all acceptable. All ‘transactionally acceptable means of doing business’.
Trump, has always done exactly what he’s still doing, except this time, he’s playing with democracy, with the Constitution, and the lives of 340 million Americans.
So, America, not only do you not have any moral authority, the world is turning away from America and will continue to do so.
America lies.
America cheats.
America steals.
And America, can no longer be trusted.
So what is the point of signing any ‘trade agreement’ with America?
None.
In fact there is no point in dealing with America, or trusting America at all.
So, we won’t.
It’s time to ignore America, and move on.
