Hegemony or Irrelevancy?

To the world at large, America is rapidly becoming irrelevant.

While within the administration, delusional as it is, sees itself as growing in influence and popularity.

Reality has never been an impediment to criminality or politics. America elected a ‘reality TV’ near-cartoon character.

Again, to the rest of the world, there is increasingly a move away from the United States.

America cannot be trusted, it denigrates, abuses and threatens its neighbours.

To what end?

We, those outside the United States of the Delusion, want but one thing.

What is that?

For America to simply, go away.

Economically, militarily, politically, socially and societally.

Go away.

We don’t want what you stand for, (in fact we don’t even know what you stand for).

We know it isn’t democracy, or intelligent action.

It isn’t equality or fairness, and it certainly isn’t truth or trust.

So what does America stand for today?

It stands for chaos, disillusionment, hate, anarchy, threats, tariffs, confusion, and soon, collapse.

Those of us in the ‘splatter zone’, immediately on the borders of the U.S., are dislocating our relationship with America. Soon, no trade, no agreements (I mean, what is the point. Trump has broken every one he signed.) No partnerships, in fact, no relationship, if we can help it.

We, in Canada, want nothing more than to reallocate all of the resources that were until now designated for the United States and move them off-shore. Whether to Europe, Asia or the Global south, Canada is diversifying its trade and its relationships with the world.

China, is now, and in the future, likely to be Canada’s largest trading partner. America’s demonization of China is about more than ideology, it’s about America’s economic export collapse.

If you build a better widget, people will beat a drum to your door.

That’s what China has done, and soon, it will build a better – almost everything, — from cars to electronics to everyday consumer products, which it has already done.

Chinese vehicles are taking over, around the world.

I just bought a Chinese motorcycle, which is better than anything I’ve seen from America, and the kicker?

For the price of a technologically ancient Harley-Davidson motorcycle, I could have bought at least five of them.

America has written its own demise.

It now eschews intelligence, academia, science, and medicine.

It values autocracy, power, hate, and soon, complete anarchy in America.

And we, outside America?

We no longer care if you implode.

Maybe that’s what comes from both hubris and arrogance.

Because that’s one commodity that America has in spades.
