How Long Can Europe, or For That Matter, Any Western Nation Trust or Depend on the United States?

How America Went from Friend and Ally to Parasitic Infection

Last week the United States released the National Security Strategy. While that in itself is of no surprise, as almost every U.S. government has done so about a year into its mandate, this was a departure, some would say a complete break from the past.

For nearly 80 years Europe and Canada have believed that they could rely on the United States to uphold the security of the west.

Based on the new NSS for National Security Strategy, that is now over.

Now, American forces in Europe are bargaining chips designed to provide leverage against other nations and NATO,

Threats by the U.S. on tariffs, technology transfers and weapons contracts, are all designed to extract concessions from the EU, the UK and Canada.

The message is clear. If you want to rely on the United States for defence, there is a cost. Accede to tariffs, accede to allow European technology transfers to the U.S. and buy American weapons systems.

Europeans are worried, and rightly so. America is using terms in relation to Europe that almost sound like Europe is the enemy, and that Russia is a friend.

The EU and Canada are rearming, first to stand against the Imperial aims of Russia, and the risks that America is no longer a friend, maybe, even a foe.

Even more worrisome, the elites in both the U.S. and Europe seem to be aligned. Extortion by the rich and concessions for the powerful and wealthy seem to be in alignment. The average person struggles to survive, while the rich, both in the U.S. and Europe have doubled their wealth in the last decade.

America is retrenching, employees its military within the United States on the streets of its cities, deporting immigrants and suppressing dissent, while the courts remain mute, having been bought and paid for by Donald Trump.

America is fracturing while Europe is on the verge of panic, meanwhile the rich, who also constitute the politically powerful, enrich themselves while taking the benefits derived by lowering the protections that society depends on like medical insurance, pensions, benefits, etc., and skimming the proceeds for their own enrichment.

Canada, isolated by geography just as much as it is threatened by that same proximity to the U.S., pretty much must depend on itself, and the ability to trade with those nations that find themselves party to the same attempted extortion from the U.S.

Canada has inked agreements with most of the world, and will continue to entertain further trade with the largest nations, save for the United States.

America has become a risk, both to safety economically and in relation to sovereignty. It has made deals with autocracies like Russia, and it has proven that it is willing to threaten either a willful disregard for other nations inside NATO, or simply overt annexation, as it has stated in relation to Canada.

America is about to attack Venezuela to install a puppet government, and to extort its wealth as the largest known reserves on earth.

Has America made a deal with Russia?

Has it stated that “If you invade the Baltic States, we can turn a blind eye, as long as you don’t interfere or support China?”

Would we even know?

One thing is absolutely, unequivocally certain.

The U.S. cannot be trusted.

They will sell out any ally, any friend, as long as it is in the best interest of Trump and his friends.

Democracy in the U.S., is dead.

All hail the new Demagogue and his band of thieves, or else die by the sword, an economic one or real one.

The National Security Strategy reads like a thirty-three page in complete hypocrisy.

    Predisposition to Non-Interventionism
    Primacy of Nations
    Sovereignty and respect
    Pro-American worker
    Fairness
    Competence and Merit

No matter which of these items one analyzes, the facts are nearly diametrically opposed to the so-called intent.

America’s xenophobia is epic. It’s denigration of core rights and liberties beyond question, its ‘burden sharing and burden shifting’ from the rich to the poor and disenfranchised unquestionable.

It’s realignment through peace? Support for genocidal sociopaths in the Middle East and Russia.

Economic security? Extortion of other nations as actual government policy. Securing access to critical supply chains and materials? Forcing neighbours and allies to provide their products at a loss, if possible. Balanced trade? Probably the most comical of all. America is interested in only one thing and that is putting its thumb on the scale, extracting concessions by tearing up agreements and then depending on a legal system, bought and paid for to maintain the extortion.

Reindustrialization?

Forcing companies and capital to return to the U.S. or succumb to sanctions and tariffs that will destroy them.

Financial Sector Dominance?

Funding Ponzi schemes and crypto, unbanked by any real value, meant simply for exploitation, self enrichment and then to be abandoned. The poor ‘believers’ left to hold the empty bag.

America today has simply become a criminal organization hiding behind the symbols of what used to be institutions meant to protect Americans.

America is quickly becoming a host for a parasite intent on sucking it dry. And, if it can be managed, the sucking dry of other nations for their mineral wealth, oil, and energy.

The U.S. is now simply a parasitic infection on the western world.
