First, let’s be clear. I in no way support antisemitism. But attempting to understand the depths of anger that exists towards Israel’s actions in Gaza, one cannot ignore the horrors they have visited upon the Palestinian population.
What happened when Israel was attacked was a travesty, but answering a horror by responding not just in kind, but ten times worse, and then suggesting that 70,000 including women and children were responsible for that horror, is unconscionable.
And this isn’t some knee jerk response. These actions by Israel have been meticulously planned to visit the most damage on Gaza and its people.
The ICC, International Criminal Court is not racist, nor antisemitic. It simply looks at facts and interprets them based on reason, rationality and International Law.
What happened this very day in Australia, was simply another horror, visited in retribution for not ‘perceived’ anti-Muslim actions by Israel, but factual acts taken by Israel.
Once again, this in no way is justification for what transpired today.
But maybe, if reason can ever be found, it needs to start with understanding.
I am neither antisemitic nor anti-Muslim. I have friends who represent both cultures.
But unless Netanyahu and his actions are condemned, and he, brought to justice, then, in the eyes of Muslims, the world accepts that ‘they’ are lesser than Jews.
America supplies all the weapons of mass murder now being employed by Israel, yet Trump pretends to be a peace-lover and peace maker.
Trump is an abomination, and should also be charged with genocide, but, that’s for another time.
This has to stop or at some point a complete annihilation of one or the other will occur.
Today, the nuclear genie cannot be put back in the bottle, and the Nuclear Non-proliferation treaty means absolutely nothing. Pakistan, Israel, India, North Korea, and possibly soon, others will have the means to actually annihilate another nation, even this planet, while those who already possess such weapons ignore the facts.
Militarization is occurring around the globe as the U.S. isolates itself, and China and Russia assert themselves. Soon a spark, somewhere obscure, could well set off the next global World War. The actions of hate on display by Israel, Russia and the United States, feed and fuel those acts of hatred.
It has to stop or the world, and this planet as we know it will cease to exist.
