The Most Ugly American
America has had leaders that are revered. Men of substance, of honour, of intelligence and dignity. Trump has, for all time, wiped away those images and replaced them with an ugly, caustic, ignorant, angry unintelligence so profound, that it is hard to actually find enough synonyms to describe his boorish personality.
How America came to this state is actually hard to fathom. Trump is the epitome of stupidity. His mouth never shuts and his cortex never becomes involved. Trump, as a man of no truth, and lesser intelligence, exudes hate, retribution, anger, childish tirades and seemingly endless amounts of drivel, so inane that few if any can derive what he is talking about, never mind appreciate.
One thing is for certain. America’s position as a world power, no longer exists. Sure, it can throw around its military might, but so can any bully. Extortion has become the rule. Trump calls extortion, tariffs. An incredibly simple man, trump cannot even differentiate between tariffs and subsidies. He is delusional at best, and criminally insane, at worst.
His willingness to listen to that little inner voice of dementia, and then express its thoughts on a regular basis has one questioning, “Is there anyone in America actually making any intelligent decisions?”
He attacks allies, derides partners, eschews collaboration, yet expects cooperation. Well, for those of us with an actual connected corpus callosum, it becomes material whether one side of the brain actually can talk to, and integrate with the other. In the case of Trump, it would seem irrelevant, as there isn’t much happening in either side.
So America, you have an incredibly important decision to make in short order. Will you listen to a man with obvious signs of dementia? Will you create policy simply on the basis of extortion and zero-sum gamesmanship? Will you destroy your own economy, trade and the financial markets in order to appease a lunatic?
Or will you do the rational, intelligent, reasonable and necessary, and put down a rabid dog?
You have little time, as Trump is intent on spooning with dictators, and providing the 1% with all of the keys to not just control, but subjugate Americans.
If you do nothing, your days are numbered.
Hobbes was right. America is destined for the dustbin of history, and your end will be ‘ugly, brutish, and short.”
But remember one thing. It was your hate, your ignorance and your greed that led you to the abyss.
Enjoy the descent into hell. You deserve it.
