Voice of America has been off the air now for two months. Trump, and Vance, racists themselves and supporters of far right white aryan and racist organizations around the world demanded the dismantling of Voice of America telecasting in 145 languages around the world.
On Saturday a federal appellate court ruled against the dismantling of Voice of America. But Trump’s racist D.C. Circuit Court, attempting to rewrite history, and the facts, issued a stay of the lower court order that would have restored Voice of America.
Trump ordered the targeting of U.S. federal agencies and offices that are government funded media outlets.
VOA has operated for over 80 years to report “accurate, objective and comprehensive” news that will “present the policies of the United States clearly and effectively”, according to its charter.
Trump’s intended purpose?
To rewrite American history, and to ignore the facts in doing so.
The first notable effort is for Trump to stop telling the truth, the facts of America’s racist past, and the injustices that have, were, and still are being visited on the ‘others’, — virtually anyone who is not ‘racially pure and white’.
Trump’s racism is in evidence every day, from arrests, without any representation in a court of law (which in itself seems laughable, as the courts do not provide any protections), and are then summarily deporting Americans, — citizens of America.
The White House statement for silencing VOA, stated;
“The action was taken to ensure taxpayers are no longer on the hook for radical propaganda.”
The National Press Club said the order “undermines America’s long-standing commitment to a free and independent press.”
It is nothing more than a ham-handed obvious plan to dismantle truth and facts in America.
Racists and right-wing autocrats are quickly dismantling all of the voices and avenues for truth to be told in what used to be an American democracy, now a simple kleptocracy and racist country.
Meanwhile, the majority of Americans remain silent while liars and thieves rewrite history and the facts., that are in no way subjective.
America is no longer a democracy, and those who are silent are complicit.
