Hubris knows no Bounds

America’s Forecast:

“Ignorance, myopia and near blindness, combined with likely Category 5 Hurricanes, Massive Tidal Surges, Flash Flooding and Tornadoes. Expect it to last for the entire summer and fall season, followed by periods of delusional statements in defence of inaction taken from federal politicians, the GPO and the Republican Congress for unscientific decisions reached that endangered, killed and destroyed lives in the United States of America.”

“Oh, and have a nice day, whatever the whether, because truly, we don’t have a clue.”

There is a time where hubris becomes, not just aggravating but life threatening. That is exactly where the current administration of the United States government lives.

So, this fall, when hurricane season occurs, and like in Texas this last week, people die due to hubris, don’t wring your hands or tell me ‘it’s god’s will’, or ‘he works in wondrous ways’, no that’s simply idiotic and even too simple for religious zealots.

No, it’s due to the willful intent of a pompous, ignorant man in Washington, surrounded by equally ignorant and stupid men, who without any willingness or ability to use science, decide to gut the agency responsible for notifying Americans about the risks they face due to impending life-threatening weather events.

Eighty years of scientific knowledge, has been disregarded and thrown into the waste bin of other equally asinine decisions made by men and women in the Government of the United States, whose level of intelligence mirrors that of a lump of coal.

So, if by chance and pure luck, Americans don’t die in droves due to the lack of knowledge associated with meteorology and physics, don’t feel smug and state, “I told you so,” because simply stated, “It’s only a matter of time.”

And when that time comes, then and only then will one “learneth the lesson of hubris, ignorance and stupidity, in earnest.”

So, if you’re a supporter of the most incompetent and likely demented President of the United States, and FEMA doesn’t come to help when you’re sitting on your concrete slab where you’re house used to be, don’t rail against your fictitious god’s indifference to your plight.

Do the logical thing, the rational thing, the intelligent thing. Show up on the doorstep of your Congressman who gutted NOAA, the U.S. Weather Service and FEMA, and demand they resign and that the government of total ignorance reinstitute science and not hubris in Washington.

And the next time you have the opportunity to vote, remember. That should be the easy part. Because you’ll likely get no support from the current administration, and you’ll still be living in the basement of a relative, likely in a state far removed from the dangerous and deadly weather systems that you thought were ‘just weather’, and ‘nothing to worry about.’

Ignorance should not be a death sentence. But in the United States of America, it absolutely is.
